Dr. Micaela Churruca is a well-known Spanish-Board Certified Specialist Dermatologist with more than 8 years of experience in the field.
She completed her training at the University Hospital Severo Ochoa in Madrid, Spain and she has been practicing in UAE since 2018, working at Lutetia Aesthetics Clinic-Al Futtaim and later at American Hospital as a Specialist Dermatologist. During this period of time, she has also been Associated Professor of Dermatology of the University of Sharjah.
Her main areas of expertise include general and pediatric dermatology, prevention and treatment of skin cancer, including digital mole mapping and skin cancer surgery. She has also extensive experience in aesthetic dermatology, performing a variety of procedures, including laser and light-based devices, Botulinum toxin, filler injections, chemical peels, mesotherapy, PRP treatment, radiofrequency, ultrasound and body contouring treatments.

She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and the International Dermoscopic Society.

Dr. Micaela is passionate about pediatric dermatology, skin cancer prevention and treatment, being the founder of the first ever sun protective swimwear brand – Badawii Beachwear.
